The Netgear Orbi setup should not be a daunting task. First, place the router centrally, connect it via Ethernet to your modem, turn it on, and wait for the LED to settle. Next, power on the satellite unit, press the Sync button, and wait for the light to turn solid blue as confirmation of connection. Then you come opening your browser or the Orbi app on your smartphone and going to the default login page, like 192.168.1.1 or orbilogin.com, in order to enter your credentials. Do not bypass the upgrade of the firmware: go into Settings → Administration → Firmware Update and refresh to keep your system smooth in performance and secure. Add other satellites by following the same procedure of pressing the Sync button. Clear your browser cache in case of an error at the login page or if the light on the satellite shows amber/magenta; reposition it a little closer to the host router. These will get you up and running with a solid, full-home mesh WiFi in no time.
