I’m originally from Michigan and now live near Wilmington, NC, with my husband Joe and our rescue dogs, Stitch and Tank.
I didn’t always love cooking—at one point, I joked about marrying a chef to avoid the kitchen! But at 16, living on my own, I had to start experimenting. When Joe and I moved to northern Michigan, dining options were limited, so I turned to the Food Network to learn from chefs like Ina Garten and Emeril Lagasse.
I began with cooking and grilling, but eventually baking became my therapy, helping me slow down and focus. With my ADHD-driven curiosity, I’ve explored all kinds of cooking styles, always experimenting for fun.
After moving for work—first to Raleigh, NC, then to the beach—we’ve finally settled here. Cooking has always been my passion, and I love creating perfect, flavor-packed recipes. Everything on my blog is tested (and retested) to make sure it’s just right!
