It all began with Palak’s desire to design ensembles that could blend together the traditions of Indian textiles and indigenous art forms with the everyday dressing needs of women of all ages. In 2016, Palak’s first-ever capsule collection, originally designed for personal wardrobe, became a bestseller on a Facebook marketplace. Finding her way through sourcing fabrics, fulfilling orders, managing shipping, and all other business nuances, she started Ambraee in the basement of her home. With just 2 sewing machines and a 5-people team, Palak set on the path of exploring her passion. As the number of orders grew, so did the team and unit size, eventually leading Ambraee to move its operations to a new, bigger space.
