The Marldon M-323 Rubber Crumb Underlay has been specifically developed for the use with wood and laminate flooring.
With a relatively light weight design and built-in metalized scrim, this rubber crumb underlay delivers excellent sound insulation and also ensures good resistance to moisture transmission. A low tog rating of just 0.8 makes this crumb underlay the ideal product for use with underfloor heating systems.
As the name would suggest, high quality crumb rubber underlay such as the Marldon M-323 is made from ‘crumbs’ of rubber that have bonded together. A great eco-friendly option, Marldon’s M-323 Rubber Crumb Underlay is made from a high content of recycled tyres.
Benefits of Marldon’s M-323 Silver Rubber Crumb Underlay:
● 3.5mm Thickness ● Excellent impact sound insulation ● Good resistance to moisture transmission ● High content of recycled tyres ● Ideal for underfloor heating ● Tog 0.8
Introducing Marldon’s A30 Strata Acoustic Underlay for wooden floors- our most robust and efficient solution for reducing impact noise at ground level where floor height is at a premium.
Marldon Strata Underlay is a tough and durable acoustic underlay that consists of a 94% recycled rubber-mix which acts as a dense, resilient layer. It is ideal for timber and concrete construction subfloors and can be used under a wide range of floor finishes. Marldon A30 Strata Underlay is also compatible with underfloor heating.
Due to its compressive strength, it is applicable to most floor finishes such as engineered oak, laminate, tile, and vinyl which can be laid directly on top. Its lack of deformation means the Marldon Strata A30 Acoustic underlay for wooden floors also offers greater stability and durability.
Benefits of Marldon Strata Acoustic Underlay:
● Significantly reduces impact sounds ● Can be installed under finished flooring ● Guaranteed constant thickness and density ● Does not deform, maintains efficiency long term ● Prefabricated recycled tire granule mat ● Low compression under heavy loads ● May be used in retrofit ● Compatible with UFH
Are you looking for a high-quality universal primer for your subfloor? Then look no further. Introducing the Marldon Universal subfloor Primer MXS120 – a premium acrylic primer for use on porous substrates such as Cementitious and Calcium Sulphate/Anhydrite screeds and for priming timber substrates. A flexible substrate primer, the Marldon Universal Acrylic Primer is also ideal for use with underfloor heating.
Quality primers – such as the Marldon Universal Primer MXS120 – are ideal for protecting your substrate flooring before installation of upper flooring. This ensures that your upper floor can bond securely to the substrate.
The advanced formulation of the Marldon Universal subfloor Primer MXS120 allows for better flow characteristics and removes the adverse effects of suction. Ideal for use prior to application of Marldon MXS110 smoothing compound to remove the possibility of pin holes. Compatible with all Marldon subfloor preparation products.
Further benefits of Marldon’s Universal Primer MXS120:
● Low hazard primer. ● Easy to apply to substrate flooring. ● Helps to prevent ‘pin-holing’. ● Helps to maintain the flow characteristics of the screed.
Preparation information for Marldon’s Universal Acrylic Primer MXS120:
● Condition the contents by storing for 24 hours at +15°C – +25°C. Cooler temperatures will increase viscosity and make application more difficult. Higher temperatures will speed the chemical reaction and therefore reduce working pot life. ● Ensure all surfaces to be coated are clean, dry, frost free and free from grease, oil, dirt, dust, loose friable material and any other contaminants liable to prevent penetration into the substrate or adhesion to the surface. ● All dust and plaster deposits must be removed and vacuumed. ● Highly polished surfaces or concrete containing a curing agent or surface hardener may require shot blasting. Power floated concrete must be abraded or shot blasted to provide a good key for adhesion. ● Always shake the bottle to mix contents immediately prior to use.
How to apply Marldon’s Acrylic Universal Primer MXS120:
● All aspects of the installation must be in accordance with the requirements of BS 8204, BS 8203 (Installation of Resilient floorcoverings) or BS 5325 (Installation of Textile floorcoverings) and supplementary specifications. ● Suitable for use on both Cementicious and Calcium Sulphate/Anhydrite screeds. ● If applying a cementicious smoothing compound to a calcium sulphate substrate, please contact Marldon technical department for more information. ● Apply by brush or roller ensuring a continuous film, avoiding puddles and ensuring all the surface is fully coated.
