I'm in the middle of 60 hours with Elden Ring and, frankly, I still have no clue what's going on in the story. Similar to Elden Ring Runes previous Souls games, the lore FromSoftware has been created by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is a mess of proper nouns as well as vague statements. One thing I know is that the boss known as General Radhan is, in my opinion, the best persona in the game. It could be that he is the most memorable Souls character ever created.
Okay,, slow down. I know that's a big statement! However, please don't pressure me to advocate for overwhelming fan-favorite characters like Dark Souls pseudo-mascot Solaire of Astora or Patches which is the universe-spanning character that was featured in earlier FromSoftware games. Although they and other Souls characters are awesome but General Radahn is head and shoulders above all the others, literally and literally, due for the unique way Elden Ring mixes silly, moving, and amazing tales of his life with a unique boss battle that drastically alters the game's setting.
By the time you get to meet Radahn in Elden Ring, he's a shadow of the brilliant demi-god-like general who led wartime forces after the shattering of the titular phenomenon. Radahn was previously dragged low during fighting by his sister Malenia the Severed. They were affected by The Scarlet Rot, a sickness that makes its victims insanity-driven ghouls who have only one desire that is all-encompassing: to consume everything they encounter. So, now Radahn walks around battlefields littered with dead bodies on the back of a much-too-small horses (whose name is believed to be Leonard) looking forward to Elden Ring Items for sale an opportunity when someone who is strong enough could end his misery.
