- Foam Egg trays
Foam cartons are free of heavy weight and they absorb great shock. They are however; less eco-friendly and usually non-recyclable. They are affordable and also strong enough to protect. That is why they are large in the high-volume markets.
- Egg cartons made out of plastic
Transparent cartons are also visible and therefore suitable to the retail. They are reusable and in most cases they are made of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate ). Such cartons are sturdy and waterproof yet their prices are higher than the pulp varieties.
