ACC Power Rankings - Post-Week 0: Florida State Flop

.

1. Miami: The Miami Hurricanes open in the Swamp. If they can start their season with a win there, they should be favored in every game on the schedule. Florida State looks very beatable (at Miami). They get Virginia Tech at home but go to Louisville and to Georgia Tech. They avoid Clemson. With presumably a top-three QB in the conference (Cam Ward), 11-1 feels very viable. Of course, we are talking about the chronically underperforming Hurricanes.2. Clemson: Let's see how Clemson looks against Georgia before moving them into the top spot over a Miami team that beat them head-to-head last season. https://www.arizonastatesportsshop.com  A Clemson win or valiant fight in a loss against Georgia could bump them up to #1. Cade is supposedly more consistent. The wide receivers are supposedly healthy. The offensive line is supposedly improved. I am buying the optimism, but I'm also able to acknowledge that we've been promised this kind of improvement before only for it to be completely unfounded. For the record, I have both Clemson and Miami in my playoff field:3. Virginia Tech: They return their entire starting offensive line and add a transfer from Georgia State to improve it even further. Kyron Drones didn't start last season as the starting QB, but he returns giving the Hokies continuity and athleticism as the most important position. They've got something brewing in Blacksburg.4.
