How to Get BIS Certification for Kitchen Electric Appliances?
Step 1: Check the IS code of the kitchen appliance and send it to a BIS-certified testing laboratory for testing. Test items include quality, safety, and overall performance.
Step 2: Register on the BIS portal and submit the required documents such as factory information and test reports. Required documents include product information, test reports, manufacturing details, QMS certificate, trademark registration, address proof of production facility, product drawings, packaging information, etc.
Step 3: Once you submit the application and required documents, an application number is issued and the product is reviewed.
Step 4: A BIS representative visits the manufacturing facility to ensure that the product meets BIS standards. Samples are tested at the factory and sent to a BIS-certified testing laboratory. Step 5: BIS submits the test report. If the samples pass quality control, a BIS license and ISI seal are issued.
