It doesn't have to be difficult to set up your Orbi router. The Orbi setup may really be completed in a few minutes if the proper procedures are followed. Follow this simple tutorial to get your Orbi system up and running, regardless of your level of IT expertise.
- Unpack and get ready
Unpack your satellite(s) and Orbi router first. Using the included Ethernet wire, connect the router to your modem. After plugging the router into a power source, watch for the LED light to pulse white before turning solid white.
- Turn on the satellite
Place the Orbi satellite in the middle of your house. After plugging it in, watch for the router-like LED to glow solid white and then pulse white. Both devices are prepared for synchronizing once they are turned on and pulsating.
- Get the Orbi app.
Download the Orbi app from the Google Play Store or App Store for a simple Orbi Setup. The application will walk you through each step of the installation procedure. Until the new network is set up, make sure your smartphone is linked to your existing Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Comply with the in-app guidelines
You will be prompted by the app to scan the Orbi router's QR code. After that, it will walk you through configuring your password and Wi-Fi network name (SSID). The software will verify proper setup and test your connection when it is finished.
- To access advanced settings, execute orbi router login.
You may access additional capabilities by using a web browser to visit the Orbi router login after the configuration is finished. Just type 192.168.1.1 or orbilogin.com into the address bar. To log in, use the admin credentials you created during orbi setup. You can handle firmware upgrades, security settings, parental controls, and more from this location.
