The Taxi Ride That Made My Day Better

After a long flight from Kerala to Dubai, I was tired and ready to get to my hotel.

I had been looking forward to the trip for weeks, but the first thing I realized after landing was that I’d forgotten my fragrance at home. I usually like having something that makes my room and car smell fresh, so I was a little disappointed with myself.

Then I got into a taxi.

The driver was friendly, and after a few minutes on the road, I noticed something about the car. It smelled really good. Fresh, clean and pleasant without being too strong.

I asked him what fragrance he was using.

He told me it was from Coral Aroma.

It was such a small conversation, but somehow it changed my mood. I had just arrived in Dubai feeling tired and annoyed about forgetting my fragrance, and now I had something new to be curious about.

The driver told me a little about Coral Aroma and its fragrances for cars and homes. I made a note of the name on my phone.

Later that day, I looked them up.

I ended up buying a car fragrance for myself and a room spray to take back home. What started as a forgotten item became one of the little memories I took away from Dubai.

Looking back, I think that’s one of the nice things about travelling. Not every memorable moment is something you plan.

Sometimes it’s just a taxi ride, a friendly driver and a fragrance you happen to notice.

And sometimes, a stranger can make your day a little better without even realizing it.
